I'm so sorry that you had to put her down but she was very very sick and couldn't move around anymore. She was unhappy and in pain. You were a very good dog owner and she lived a long happy and sassy life. Love you lots.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I love my dogs like children, so I can only imagine the pain that you're having over the decision that you had to make. She was a beautiful girl, and from the photos, it's clear that she had days full of fun and love.

Awwwww...She's gorgeous! I'm so sorry for your loss, sweetie. That candle on the left side of the screen is really adding to the effect of mourning. It's mesmerizing. I had to put down my beloved cat, Noodle (aka Nub) a few years ago, and my sweet cat Moles (aka Mozar) died in the early 90's, so I know what you're going through. I grew up with 13 cats and dog (all gone now), so I've been through MUCH loss of pets. I've got two dogs now, and I'm gonna hug them extra tight for Muffin-Anne. She was loved on earth by you, and she'll be loved by all her new friends on the other side of rainbow bridge...I bet my childhood dog Cinnamon already has got a crush on her! :) Take care, sweetie. Sending you good thoughts. And let me know if you want an MP3 of "The Rainbow Connection" by Kermit! (P.S. The rainbow bridge poem can be found at www.bestfriends.org)

sometimes that's our only solace, that the pup had a good life. but that is such a comfort. if she was truly happy, then her life meant something to her and to you. she can't ask for anything more than that.

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. When you don't have children your pets become your kids. She was my big baby, 110lbs. of sweetness wrapped in a fur coat.

I am also a pet owner and I know how hard it is to lose a dog. My heart goes out to you, but take comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain.
